Cannot open the app? Request deletion by email
Email engappsupport@gmail.com with the subject Delete my EngApp account, from the email address linked to your Google or Apple sign-in. We will delete your account within 30 days and confirm by email.
Parents and guardians can request deletion of a child's account the same way.
Data that is deleted
- Account and profile: email address, nickname, avatar, age group, level and streak
- Learning data: daily sessions, word progress, course and level progress
- Your content: custom words and word folders
- Class data: class memberships, and the classes and courses you created as a teacher
- Push notification token and notification settings
- Your subscription status record in our database
Data that is kept
- Crash and error diagnostics are kept for as long as needed to fix the problem they describe. They contain only a random internal identifier that no longer corresponds to any account once yours is deleted.
- Purchase records held by Apple, Google and our subscription provider RevenueCat are kept as required by tax and accounting law. Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or in the App Store, or you will keep being charged.
- Data held by Google or Apple for your sign-in account is managed by them and is not affected.
See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your data.
