Terms of Service

EngApp · Last updated 6 October 2026

These terms govern your use of EngApp. By using the app you accept them.

The service

EngApp is an English-learning application. We provide it as it is, and we may change or discontinue features. We aim to keep it available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Eligibility

Before sign-in is offered, you are asked your date of birth so the app can work out your age group (child, teen or adult).

Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your access to that account secure — anyone who can sign in can use your EngApp account. Tell us at engappsupport@gmail.com if you believe your account has been misused.

You must give an accurate date of birth. It is used only on your device to work out your age group; the date of birth itself is not stored. The age group is recorded once, before your account is created, and cannot be changed afterwards, because it determines which privacy and advertising protections apply to your account. A child or teen should use EngApp with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.

Subscriptions

If a child account is used to start a purchase, EngApp itself requires confirmation that the person completing it is 18 or older and the account's parent or legal guardian, before the purchase can proceed. Users under 18 may also be subject to separate parental approval requirements for purchases, or family account requirements imposed by Apple or Google, depending on their account and family settings.

Free accounts and advertising

Accounts without a subscription see advertising. How ads are chosen depends on age and consent, as described in the Privacy Policy. Teachers do not see ads.

Classes

Teachers may create classes and invite students with a join code. If you join a class, your display name and learning progress become visible to that teacher. Teachers must have the right to teach the students they invite, and must not invite children without the permission required in their jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Your content

Custom words, folders and other content you create remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display them for you and, where applicable, your teacher.

Liability

EngApp is an educational aid provided without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
